[00:00:00] Speaker A: Alrighty. Alrighty, everybody. Welcome back to another week. This has been a weird week. God damn. So this is gonna be a little shorty episode. Yeah, let's just get in. I'm your host, Alex. The truck. We got my wife, not the truck. And we got Courtney from way out yonder. Yep. And so I. I thought that Easter was last Sunday. Like, I. I earnestly, like, deeply, I'm like, yeah, Easter was, of course, last Sunday. Turns out Easter is to, like, today, I think. [00:00:50] Speaker B: No. Tomorrow. [00:00:51] Speaker A: Well, yeah. [00:00:52] Speaker B: Cause it's Saturday. [00:00:52] Speaker A: Yeah. But it comes out. This episode comes out tomorrow. So, you know, we're, technically speaking, on Sunday. [00:01:00] Speaker B: There was a table at Trader Joe's with, like, a. With, like, rabbits and shit. [00:01:04] Speaker A: Yeah. I'm like. [00:01:06] Speaker B: And there were kids everywhere running around. I was like, I picked a really bad time to come to Trader Joe's. [00:01:12] Speaker A: Yeah. It's like, real rabbits. [00:01:14] Speaker B: No, like, people, like, dressed up as rabbits. [00:01:17] Speaker A: Oh, okay. Like, in my head, I'm like. [00:01:20] Speaker B: They were like. They're like. [00:01:22] Speaker A: Like, there's, like, you know, pictures of rabbits, like, on the table. I'm like, why are they selling tables now? [00:01:28] Speaker B: They were giving out, like, free candy and stuff. [00:01:30] Speaker A: Oh, fuck. Yeah. [00:01:31] Speaker B: It was crazy. [00:01:32] Speaker A: Call me a kid. I'll go to Trader Joe's for free [00:01:34] Speaker B: Candy wasn't good candy. [00:01:36] Speaker A: Oh, then what was it? [00:01:37] Speaker B: Like, wax lips, Jelly beans, and that kind of nasty. [00:01:40] Speaker A: Oh, garbage. Like, the only types of jelly beans I like is going to the Jelly Belly Factory and, you know, getting their bag of rejects. [00:01:50] Speaker B: That doesn't make jelly beans sound any better. [00:01:54] Speaker A: Okay, no, these are completely way better. Jelly bellies. [00:01:59] Speaker B: How are they better? [00:02:00] Speaker A: They're rejects. [00:02:01] Speaker B: What does that mean? [00:02:02] Speaker A: They're cheaper. [00:02:04] Speaker B: What the fuck? And I'm pretty sure it's better because you paid less money. Yes. [00:02:09] Speaker A: Doesn't a beer taste better if it's free? [00:02:13] Speaker B: Yes, it does. [00:02:13] Speaker A: Exactly. That's the whole thing. [00:02:17] Speaker B: I cannot deny that. [00:02:20] Speaker A: And, you know, it is my favorite week of all time. Because it was April Fools just the other day, and I watched so many people fall for all the dumbest shit in the world. And then I'm like, oh, yeah, people do that every day, you know? But, like, I had, you know, a couple of my friends come up to me last night, excited, you know, ecstatic. They were the happiest that they could fucking possibly be. They're pulling out their phones and showing me, you know, magic, the Gathering. And I'm like, I haven't been this mentally ill in a while, so I. I don't play that game. Anymore. And really, no, I don't play Magic the Gathering anymore. I. I also don't smoke weed. So, like, that's the only reason I would play Magic Gathering is because I was stoned. [00:03:16] Speaker B: Well, you were also playing with Ben. [00:03:18] Speaker A: We were stoned. We were very high when we did that. Like, we would go over to my friend John's house, and, like, I remember one day, like, John was, like, on his front porch. [00:03:37] Speaker B: Was this when you were working at Walmart? [00:03:38] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:03:39] Speaker B: Okay. [00:03:40] Speaker A: This is when I was a fucking piece of shit. So, like, John was, like, on his front porch, you know, and he was just, like, hugging, like, a box of beer asleep. And we, like, you know, walk up on him and, like, hey, John. He looks up, he's like, oh, hey, guys. Big old smile on his face. Pulls out a beer and, like, cracks it open, and you're like, hey, you play some magic. He's like, yeah. And I'm like, that. That was, you know, the types of people that I would hang out with, you know, way back when. And that's the types of people that play magic. But, you know, they're like, dude, check out this new magic set. It's from, you know, Dark Souls, which is a game that, you know, has been coming out, and it's, like, notoriously hard. And I. I look at this, and I'm like, okay, when did that come out? Like, when did that get released? Like. Like, oh, it's coming out on the 8th. I'm like, no, no, no. Like, when did, like, the, you know, release, you know, notification come out? And so, like, they all, you know, pick up what I'm putting down. Like, no way. This. It can't be a fucking April Fool's joke, you know? And I like, my blind friend looking on his phone, and he fucking pulls it up first because of course he does. You know, blind people aren't really blind. These, you know, have different senses. Like, I fully believe the movie Daredevil. I'm like, yeah, all blind people are superheroes. And, you know, he, like, looks at me. He's like, oh, no. I'm like, yeah. Like, I didn't even have to look. I didn't care. But, you know, don't believe anything you ever read on the Internet. So, yeah, it was an April Fool's joke. And that goes for anything, any fucking day whatsoever. Don't believe shit you see on the Internet. That's why I don't really, you know, do serious news stories on this podcast, because, you know, if any of these news stories are fake, you know, Whatever. I lose nothing. Like, like, like this story. Sickle cell disease has just been cured for the first time in New York. And, you know, most white people have no idea what sickle cell disease even is. [00:06:16] Speaker B: That's where your blood cells. It's when your blood cells are abnormally shaped. [00:06:21] Speaker A: Yep. But dogs get it. Mostly black people get it too, for some weird reason. Don't know why, But yeah, it's an inherited blood disorder called. Caused by mutation in the gene responsible for producing hemoglobin. Yeah, you. You get like weird little, you know, moon shaped blood cells and it sucks. Yeah, they clog blood vessels and do all kinds of damage, but yeah, they, they cured it somehow. I. I'm not going [00:07:06] Speaker B: to. [00:07:06] Speaker A: How to do the increased risk of stroke. How the did you cure it? Stem cells. They. They use stem cells where they are genetically modified using a technique called Gene Edition. [00:07:23] Speaker B: Stem cells are where it's at in medicine right now. Like, they, like, they've replaced interferon. Like, like stem cells. Stem cells are where it's at. [00:07:34] Speaker A: I feel like someone gets the, you know, tldr of medicine and then overreacts, you know, and that's why it's like, oh, stem cells come from dead babies. You know, we can't be having that. Yeah, that was a huge thing. You know, people thought that you had to like, blend up babies or something to get stem cells. I'm like, what? [00:07:57] Speaker B: People are so stupid. [00:08:00] Speaker A: But they'll believe it. You know, they're like, oh, that's awful. Don't do that. [00:08:03] Speaker B: Fucking sheep. [00:08:09] Speaker A: Oh. It was a children's medical center. Okay. This makes me feel fucking better. Fucking kid, you know, has been attending since he was two months old. Yeah, that. That's fucking awesome. Yeah, and the. The. I'm not saying the names because I cannot pronounce the names, you know. The mother was Magda Lamore, watching her son suffer for two decades. Okay, yeah, there. This is very wordy. And I, I'm. I'm not good at reading a lot of wordy words. [00:08:57] Speaker B: Trying to think of the dogs that always get the freaking. [00:09:01] Speaker A: Let's see, we have the Internet right here. What? Dogs get sickle cell all the time. Sickle cell is a human disorder and does not occur in dogs. Dogs incur experience different inherited blood clotting or membrane defects such as von Willebrand's disease, which can be mistaken for blood disorders. Breeds with high risks for similar severe blood conditions like immune medicated hemolyc. Anemia includes cocker spaniels, poodles, old English Sheepdogs and Doberman pinschers. PFK deficiency. [00:09:46] Speaker B: Oh, I don't know anything about that. [00:09:49] Speaker A: Yeah, these are the must be Dobermans. [00:09:52] Speaker B: That's annoying, though. There's another one that I'm really thinking of. [00:09:56] Speaker A: Christ, I, like, I'm pretty damn sure, like, yeah, the diseases we get and diseases animals get are not, like, interchangeable. [00:10:06] Speaker B: Some are zoonotic. [00:10:09] Speaker A: You're using big words again. I. I don't know what that means. [00:10:12] Speaker B: It means it can pass from. From animals to humans. Like rabies? [00:10:21] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean, I. I'd rather have rabies than babies any day. It's like, I can't drink water, but I don't have children. I'm gonna die horribly, going insane. Well, my brain melts or something, you know, But I don't have an heir to pass on my. Nothing. You know, I. I feel like I just need, like, you know, pick one person and be like, when I die, you get all my shit. If my wife's not around. [00:11:00] Speaker B: I mean, even if I am around, I'm going to give your stuff away, so you might as well pick who you want me to give your stuff to. [00:11:07] Speaker A: Well, you know, that brings me on to the next topic. So another one of my friends has died, unfortunately. It sucks. Oh, my God. [00:11:17] Speaker B: Why? [00:11:18] Speaker A: I know. You know, no, no one told me that. Hey, when you hit your 30s, all your friends are going to start d. Yeah, one. One of my good friends from the oil field days. And. And luckily, I did not have to, you know, tell, you know, the other people out in the oil fields, you know, they all knew. Yeah, I. I hit up, you know, one of my friends out there, and I'm like, hey, how are you doing? He's like, you know, I'm like, okay, good. Like, I don't want to be the one to fucking be like, hey, the worst news for you. But, you know, the fortunate thing is, you know, I've already had practice. I'm, like, numb to it at this point. So I'm like, all right, you know, bring it on. But, you know, still one of my good friends, Sean, so I'm gonna. I'm tell a few stories about him, and then, you know, go ahead and end the episode early. So, like, I. I met Sean when I was working in the oil fields. Like, I got into a machine shop where we built drilling motors. And my first day in. In this shop, you know, I was, you know, getting the tour, you know, and, like, I got, you know, dropped off and like, here's where you work and this big dude that looked like Wolverine when he was like. Like a mountain man. I don't know what. [00:12:51] Speaker B: I know what you're talking about. [00:12:52] Speaker A: Okay, thank you. I'm like, let's see. Wolverine, Mountain man. Like, this guy, the Wolverine is the movie. But, yeah, he looks exactly like that when he, like, comes into the bar. You know, long hair, sharp nose, everything. But yeah, he. He comes up to me, Big dude, fucking, you know, intimidating. And he has a handful of grease, just a handful of thick grease that we use for, like, the ball bearings and shit like that. And he just, you know, I have brand new coveralls. I just bought fucking fresh. And he just wipes this handful of grease across the front of my chest, not even saying hello, not even saying a word. Just looks at me, you know, menacingly, and just wipes it across my entire chest. And I look down. I don't react at all. I'm like, okay. And so I. I collect it in my hand and I, you know, put it all in my hand, and I do the exact same thing to him. I'm like, either I'm gonna get fucking hit or, you know, make a best friend. And then, you know, he looks down, smiles and starts laughing, and he's like, hey, my name is Sean. And, like, that's how I fucking met him. I'm like, holy shit. You know, and, you know, we worked like, 16 to 20 hours every single day, Monday through Friday, you know, working in this machine shop together. And, you know, I would, you know, come over to his place, you know, for, like, the couple hours we'd have off when we just start drinking. And I, like, we would go over to his brother's house, his brother Josh. And it was just, like, great times because, like, you know, he was the one that like, kind of introduced me to, like, the rest of the town, you know, he was like, the door. And if I would have, you know, sat there and cried after getting grease wiped across me, I would have been fired. I'd have been the fuck out of there. There, you know, he had, you know, made it all miserable. But, yeah, I. I remember, you know, going out, you know, shooting fireworks with him. It. I. I remember 1 4th of July, we were all hanging over at my place, and I had an idiot friend that came down to North Dakota. We all told him, do not come. You're an idiot. We. We. You will not survive out here. And, you know, he calls us, like, a week later. He's like, hey, I'm at the Greyhound station. And so, like, fuck, we can't let him Die. We're not bad friends. We're just mean friends. And so, you know, we're all hanging over at my place, 4th of July, and this idiot friend goes up to Sean, and he's like. He sees, like, this big, intimidating guy. He's like, hit me. I want you to hit me across my face. And he, like, you know, puts his hand on his face, like, hit me. And Sean's a good dude. He's like, I'm not gonna hit you. You know, and just all night. Come on, man, hit me. Just hit me. And like, we've all, like, just like, look at him. Like, do not. You know, I've seen this man hit somebody. You know, I. I've played this game with him, too, and I've had him fucking give me a dead arm. You do not want Sean to hit you. He has this retard strength. And so, you know, Sean, you know, he's being patient. He's being like a big dog with a little dog, you know, yapping around its ankles, you know, like a Doberman with a Chihuahua, you know, like, that's like the size difference. And, you know, at one point in the night, you know, Sean had had a few drinks, and, you know, he's like, come on, hit me. He's like, all right, dude, I will slap you. And he's like, all right. Yeah. And, you know, he looks, you know, Sean looks around the room to, you know, get approval, you know, for this fucking slap that's about to fucking happen. Because we all know what's about to happen. You know, he's about, you know, Keith is about to go the fuck down. And, yeah, we all fucking nod our heads back. Yeah, go ahead. This kid's been fucking annoying all goddamn night long. Give him what's coming. And so he, you know, winds up, you know, just like, not like, crazy, just like. He's like, all right, here it comes. You know, here comes the choo choo train. And then slaps them into my cupboards. Breaks my cupboards, you know, like, just like you, you know, over. Like, he didn't try. He was just like, boom. And, you know, Keith is idiot. Goes and breaks my cupboards, and, you know, goes down hard. He's like, you know, it's like, oh, my God. And I'm like, oh, cool. He didn't knock you out. Probably gave you a concussion, though. And. And, you know, I. We all, like, get down at Keith's level. It's like, are you done now? Are you done trying to around and find out you don't want this man to hit you, you know, because he. He was a boxer, too, and he's [00:18:08] Speaker B: like, oh, [00:18:12] Speaker A: I. I think I could take another one. I'm like, like, don't. Don't kill him. And then eventually, Keith gets, you know, too stoned and too drunk, and he falls asleep. And then, you know, he. Keith did a whole bunch of other. He, like, got naked that night. It was crazy. But, you know, later that night, I. I decided to start doing a bunch of acid. And, you know, I'm like, this is a bad idea. I already knew it was a bad idea. And my buddy Sean, he hands me my bag of fireworks, and I turn into a yes man on acid. And he's like, hey, you know, check these out. I'm like, oh, my God. Yes. And so, you know, I. I go out in front of my house. Fireworks were legal in North Dakota. There's nothing to even fucking burn. It's fucking oil fields and dirt. And so I'm, you know, going off. I'm having a great time, you know, with this. And, you know, I'm like, shooting fireworks off in the sky, you know, just high as drunk. I'm, like, all kinds of inebriated. And then the cops just show up, just, like, appear out of nowhere. They're like, hey, buddy. And I. I look at this cop and, you know, just immediate, you know, flip switch to sober. And I'm like, officer, I'm just here being patriotic. I'm just here, you know, supporting America because I love America. He's like, dude, just shut it the fuck down. You know, because I look behind me in, the entire neighborhood's going fucking ape shit crazy. I'm like, all right. Yes, sir. And I look up and, you know, all my friends, Sean and everyone, you know, they're there watching me do this. Crazy. Gone. Vanished. Then no one is there. Like. Like, not even Keith. You know, my. I thought, you know, like, if Keith was there, he'd probably come out and fight the cop. But, yeah, just. I. I come in, and everyone's just standing around like they've been there for, like, a half an hour. I'm like, they might have just, you know, left me out there. Just maybe set myself on fire. And, like, they had no idea. I'm like, dude, what the fuck was that? Like, what? Like, I had to deal with that shit on my own. Like, what are you talking about? I'm like, you guys are just fucking with me right now. And I look at Sean. I'm like, sean, take me out to the wilderness to shoot off the rest of these fireworks. Now, Sean. Sean is a logical man. He's like, I'm not doing that. I have had too much to drink, you know? Now, me, I was not a logical man at the time. You know, me and another one of my friends, also high on acid, we fucking drove out to the middle of nowhere and shot off the rest of the fucking fireworks, you know, And I. I left Sean, you know, alone. Well, not alone. There's a bunch of other people at the house, you know, with Keith. And I'm like. I'm sitting there shooting off the fireworks. I'm like, I kind of wonder if Sean's gonna hit Keith again while we're out here, and I'm gonna miss it. And it, like, took me out of, like, the fireworks a little bit. I'm like, okay. But we got back. He didn't get hit. Ah. But, yeah, Sean was always a good dude. [00:21:41] Speaker B: Did I meet Sean? [00:21:43] Speaker A: You might have, actually, if you came out to the oil fields. I'm sure you did. You know, he was, you know, fucking, you know, one of my few friends out there, so. I'm sure you did. [00:21:58] Speaker B: Would you like me? [00:22:01] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. Chona's very respect, respectful, the, you know, everyone. As long as you didn't, you know, be mean to, you know, his wife or his kids. Like, if you, you know, we're, like, mean to his wife for kids. Yeah, he gonna beat your ass. Like, I. I remember when Sean's son was born. You know, he. He calls me just, you know, he's. I'm at work. He's like, hey, Thomas. Like, my name in North Dakota was Thomas. He's like, hey, Thomas, you know, come over to the hospital. We only had one hospital. I'm like, what's going on? What's up? It's like, my son's being born, you know? You know, my. My. My wife is in labor, and my son's about to be born. And so I. I show up to the hospital, and he's my friend, you know, I want to be there for a big moment for one of my friends. [00:23:04] Speaker B: Disgusting. [00:23:05] Speaker A: Yeah. But he's like, you know, come on in the room, you know, and I. I. I knew, you know, Wendy, I. You know, and, you know, so I. I'm in the room, you know, and, you know, she's in labor, and we're all just, you know, kind of chatting, you know, shooting the. And then the nurses all usher, like, all of us out. Like, all right, everyone out. I'm like, oh, it's. It's happening. Nope. They're just putting in the epidural. You know, I'm like, oh, good. That's the part that I didn't want to see because I'm not good with needles, you know, I don't know what an epidural needle. Now I have to like, look, you're [00:23:48] Speaker B: doing this to yourself. [00:23:49] Speaker A: I am. Epidural needle. [00:23:51] Speaker B: It's technically a catheter. [00:23:54] Speaker A: Jesus fucking Christ. [00:23:56] Speaker B: They just know. [00:23:57] Speaker A: What the fuck. [00:23:58] Speaker B: They use that to insert the catheter. The needle does not stay. [00:24:01] Speaker A: Oh, my. That is. [00:24:03] Speaker B: Oh, it does not stay. [00:24:04] Speaker A: I am glad they ushered me out for that. Holy. Ah. [00:24:10] Speaker B: No, it just leaves a catheter behind it. So a small, like, very tiny tube. [00:24:14] Speaker A: I don't care that. Nah, nah, I'm. I'm good. I'm. [00:24:19] Speaker B: That's not even that big of a needle, though. It's not. [00:24:22] Speaker A: Don't matter. I don't like it. I don't like what I saw. [00:24:25] Speaker B: I told you. [00:24:28] Speaker A: But, you know, and then they usher us all, you know, back in. It's just, you know, me, Josh, you know, Sean's brother, and Sean, and, you know, then, you know, his son is born. And, you know, I. I see, like, this big, tough man crying, you know, holding, you know, his baby boy, and I'm like, oh, I didn't think you'd ever cry, you big old crybaby. He's like, look at my son. You know, I'm like, he has your beard. We're just sitting there cracking jokes. And, you know, like, after everything was done, you know, there's like, no more action. It's like, all right. You know, my boss is like, where the fuck are you at? I'm like, I'm at the birth. I'm at the hospital. He's like, get your ass back to work. I'm like, all right. You know, because I used my lunch to go do that. You know, it was a very quick birth. Like, you know, like, just, you know, shot right out. You know, like, the baby came out, and then, like, they played, like, tug of war with, like, the placenta. And, you know, he was such a, you know, loving father. He just, like, loved his little baby. And I'm like. And then. And then I, you know, we. I left the oil fields, you know, and, you know, I haven't seen him, you know, since I left the oil fields. Like, we talk every now and again, but, you know, like, that. That was that. And, you know, now, you know, he passed away, and I'm like, ah, damn. Like. Like, I. I thought, like, I would be an old man, you know, watching like all my other old man friends be like, oh, that's, you know, that's Ben. He was 86 and he died of a heart attack. You know, and then you can like go to the hospital or, you know, go to the hospital and go to the funeral and tell jokes and, you know, it's like, all right, it's fine. You know, nature took its course. But, you know, it's like all like my like healthy friends, like all my like good looking friends are like all dying. It's like all like, you know, I'm like, ah, [00:26:52] Speaker B: Yeah, better to die sooner rather than later. [00:26:55] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, life is short, you know, you're never guaranteed tomorrow. Life never guarantees you tomorrow. And. And that's just what that is. And you know, it just, it kind of sucks, but, you know, kind of move on, you know, and I'm like, in a way, I'm like, oh, thank God, like the, you know, horrible band aid got ripped off first. So all these little band aids don't even feel like. And you know, it's like, ah, still, you know, reaching out to friends that, you know, also knew him. So, I mean, Ben knew him, like, but he wasn't like, as, you know, like friends like I was. [00:27:46] Speaker B: But Ben was in the oil field. [00:27:48] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:27:48] Speaker B: I thought he worked at Jimmy John's. [00:27:52] Speaker A: I mean, out here he did, but we, we went to the oil field together. [00:27:56] Speaker B: Oh, I don't remember that. Sorry. [00:27:58] Speaker A: Yeah, no, we, we left in my Toyota Camry, me and Ben and we moved out to the oil fields just on a whim on like, you know, like a. One of my friends, like, oh, yeah, I have a place out there you can stay, you know. But he had a Mexican father that was living there too. And they did not, you know, think his dad was there. He thought he's like, oh, yeah, I'll just sneak, you know, these guys and they can, you know, stay at this place for free. [00:28:31] Speaker B: Yeah, it was so weird when you left because, like, I really did not understand because like, because like in like the first couple years of college, like, I was learning a lot. All of a sudden I really didn't understand a lot of words sometimes. And so like, I really didn't understand what you were explaining to me. And then one day we go to the movie theater and afterwards you just kiss me and you're like. And you're like, bye. And I'm like, okay, bye. And then like, I didn't understand that you had left. And I was very confused for like, A week or so. I was just like, where is he? I don't understand. I just did not understand. I was so confused. [00:29:06] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:29:06] Speaker B: Oh, my gosh, Alex, that was. That's hilarious. I just. I was so confused. I don't even understand how full. No, [00:29:18] Speaker A: like, you know, a dog. When they, like. [00:29:21] Speaker B: It was like, a dog. [00:29:23] Speaker A: Where is he at? Like, I'm in the oil fields. Ben almost got arrested. It was. [00:29:29] Speaker B: Yeah, Pen almost got arrested. [00:29:31] Speaker A: Ben almost got arrested. So we were, you know, coming into the oil fields, you know, fresh from California, you know, driving across the country, you know, and, you know, we're getting, you know, into North Dakota. We had just crossed the state border into North Dakota. And I am speeding. I am, you know, doing the California thing where we speed. You know, how the Californians do. Shame on y'. All. Y'. [00:30:00] Speaker B: All. That speed now, it's just how it is. [00:30:03] Speaker A: And, you know, a hundred percent. Yes, I, you know, the, you know, whatever the time frame. Trying to think of the word. The statute of limitations has passed. But I. I was speeding. 100. And, you know, a cop pulls me over and they come up and they're like, hey, we didn't, you know, get a radar on you, but it looked like you were going a bit fast. What. You know, what speed were you going, by chance? [00:30:42] Speaker B: Sneaky. [00:30:44] Speaker A: And I'm like, this speed limit because I wasn't born fucking yesterday. And they're like, no, dude, like, we can't even get you in trouble anymore. Like, I'm just curious on how fast you're going. I'm like, the speed limit. That's how fast I was going. I was going exactly the speed limit. And, you know, the officer is like, okay, you know, and like, all right, we're gonna search your car. Fourth Amendment violation. I'm like, no. Like, okay, we're doing again anyway. And they found, like, crumbs of weed. Like, you know, evidence. That weed was there in, like, the floor mats. Like. Like, know just like, what. What you can, like, you know, pick up with, like, your fingers, like, at, like, 10 seconds. Just, eh. And like, look, we got that. I'm like, I dare you. I double dog dare you to bag that into evidence and take that to a judge. You will lose your job by the end of the day. And then, like, the wind comes and blows it away anyway, as they're holding their hand open and they're like. They continue fucking ripping my car apart, you know, looking for something because now they want me, now they're mad because I know my rights and I'm like, they're like, they found, like, a bottle of, you know, fake piss. And they're like, what is this? I'm like, for adult activities between me and my boyfriend here. You know, he likes golden showers. And they're like, yeah, no, this is for, you know, faking a piss test. I'm like, where is the fake bladder? Where's the fake penis? Where's any of that stuff? You know, I have a flask of yellow liquid that you assume is fake piss. You know, it is just, you know, lemonade as far as you're concerned. And they're like, yeah, we're gonna, you know, write you up. Whose is this? And then Ben just took the heat for it. And, like, we could arrest you right now. I'm like, no, you can't. And I, I love to see you try. You do realize we are both from California, where cops try this on the daily out there. And know these officers, like, and they just, like, gave Ben a citation. And then Ben, like, meets a lawyer per chance and gets a drop. [00:33:22] Speaker B: Like, immediately he just comes across the lawyer. [00:33:26] Speaker A: Comes across the lawyer in the gym. [00:33:27] Speaker B: Yeah, that's amazing. [00:33:29] Speaker A: He's like, yeah, those cops. I'm like, yep, hell yeah. And, you know, every single time we ran into the cops in North Dakota, they were all woefully inadequate to just deal with anyone that, you know, sort of knew their rights. And it's like, it's like, oh, you know, you, you know actually what you're talking about. Yes, we do. And they, they would say some weird, like, we could freeze the scene right now. I'm like, all right, you know, go ahead and do that. Get ready for, you know, a Fourth amendment violation lawsuit. I, I, I don't know what you're going to tell your boss when you easily lose that. And they're like, yeah, dude, you know, there is ways you can, you know, get it done, but, you know, you're not doing it, so. But that's it. You know, if you have friends that you haven't talked to in a while, ring them up, see how they're doing, you know, make sure that they're doing well. Hug your loved ones. Life is not infinite, no matter how old you are. Yeah, that, that's going to be it for this week. And it was a weird episode. Been a weird week, you know, like, like, if I got the news on April 1, I'm like, Ah, you're joking. But no, it was April 2. I'm like, God, God damn it. He's dead. Yeah, so. But until next week, you know, hopefully next week is, you know, more, you know, cool. So now we're going over to Home Depot and buying a shelf, I think. [00:35:30] Speaker B: Yes. [00:35:31] Speaker A: So. All right, Later. [00:35:33] Speaker B: Bye. Bye.
