[00:00:01] Speaker A: Alrighty. Alrighty, everybody. Welcome back to another week of the human podcast. We might not be here next week. I have a big weekend. Next weekend. It's cat festival. Then I have a banquet. [00:00:23] Speaker B: And then if you're in Springs, my clinic called Carefree Cats Veterinary Hospital will have a stand and I will be attending at Saturday and I will be a leopard princess. [00:00:34] Speaker A: So come on down and. [00:00:37] Speaker B: And we have cat toys and catnip [00:00:39] Speaker A: and enjoy cat fest. I. I will be buying. [00:00:41] Speaker B: And we have kittens up for adoption. [00:00:44] Speaker A: What if I buy a kitten? [00:00:46] Speaker B: You. They're a bonded pair. You can't just buy one. [00:00:48] Speaker A: Okay, what if I buy both? [00:00:50] Speaker B: I mean, Newt and Scout would be an interesting addition to our house because Newt's a girl kitty and I don't know, Emoji did not appreciate the last grill kitty, so I don't know how she'd appreciated new girl kitty. [00:01:04] Speaker A: It's a kitten. [00:01:05] Speaker C: She. [00:01:05] Speaker A: She is a sweet mama. [00:01:08] Speaker B: And Scout is more T. Rex than Chai Tea is. And Chai Tea is already a terror. Pretty much a terror still. He's three. Got one more year of the T. Rex phase before you should start to chill out. [00:01:20] Speaker A: Like, like, would. Would you be upset if I bought like, another cat? [00:01:23] Speaker B: Of course not. [00:01:27] Speaker C: No, Alex wouldn't. [00:01:30] Speaker B: It's Mochi's approval that you need to be concerned about. [00:01:33] Speaker A: Mochi, can I get another cat? Try and I die. Okay. Alright. I'm not gonna get another cat. You're my only kitten. Don't you worry. Yep, you're the only cat for me until you die and I'm destroyed. Then I have to go buy another kitten just to fill the hole in my heart. [00:02:03] Speaker B: Your next, your next cat will come to you when it's friend. When it is the right time. I can promise you that. [00:02:08] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, no, I'm gonna like go like right into, you know, like a, like a cat. Like a place you, like, get cats shelter. I don't know what they're called. [00:02:20] Speaker B: We should go to Happy Cats first and after that we should go to Denver Down Friends League and then we'll go to Wild Blue and then we'll go to the Humane Society if you still haven't found the right cat. [00:02:31] Speaker A: I'm not going to the Humane Society first. [00:02:34] Speaker B: That's them. [00:02:35] Speaker A: They stole my cat. [00:02:36] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:02:36] Speaker A: No, seriously, those people. [00:02:38] Speaker B: No, they. [00:02:38] Speaker A: They're gonna give him any money. There was like $80 for a cat. [00:02:41] Speaker B: No, it was bullshit. And I told them that she was okay. Basically. A neighbor called me because they had Mochi and I told Them. Oh, yeah, she's an indoor outdoor cat. Leave her alone. She will come home. And then she didn't come home that night, which is not uncommon. Like, it happens occasionally. I wasn't that concerned about it. And then, like, I'm at work and I get a call, and they're like, hey, we have a cat with a microchip that's registered to your clinic. And I will. And so, like, she starts reading off the microchip number, and I'm autistic. And I'm like, wait a minute. That's my cat's microchip number. And so, like, I check it and, like, yeah, that's Mochi's microchip number. I'm told him, okay, she's fully vaccinated. She's been tested. She spayed. Don't do anything with her. And I'm like, okay, when can I come get her? Now, like, okay, well, we close at 5. And I'm like, well, I work in Castle Rock. I can't do that when you guys open. Well, we don't open until 11. I'm like, okay, that is so outside of my time control with my job. So. So I had to ask my husband to go pick up the cat. And when they get her, he goes to get her. She's been vaccinated again. And they tested her again, and then they made you pay for it again. Which was bullshit because I told them she was negative and she was up to date on vaccines. So I'm super pissed off about that to this day. [00:03:49] Speaker A: And that that's why I'll never give them any money. [00:03:51] Speaker B: I don't mean to, like, talk about humane Society. It's just that was my one and only experience and it turned me into a Karen, unfortunately. [00:03:57] Speaker A: Nope. If you, you know, around and find out, you will get the venom. [00:04:03] Speaker B: Like. Like, I was a vet tech. I told them all this stuff. There was no reason for them to have done that. [00:04:09] Speaker A: Like, Les Schwab. Like, I. I have, you know, friends that work at Les Schwab now. And they're like, oh, yeah, we get you taken care of. But, you know, I told them, you know, what happened to you when you went to, you know, Les Schwab Tires? I, you know, am a distributor for them. And, you know, I got her tires, and they charged $300 to mount balance four tires. [00:04:35] Speaker B: I was very confused when I went to the checkout because I knew you told me what the total was, but the guy said that was another total. And I was, like, worried he wouldn't give Me, the car. [00:04:45] Speaker A: If I said no, no, like, that's fine. Le Schwab forever. Anyone that ever asked me where I. They should get their tires, I'm like, I will turn them the. Away from Les Schwab. [00:04:55] Speaker B: And I'm sure they took advantage of me because I was a woman. [00:04:57] Speaker A: That's exactly what they did. So them forever. You know, it's like, you know, I [00:05:03] Speaker B: mean, it's more like that store. Don't. The whole chain. [00:05:06] Speaker A: The whole chain. All of them, Every single one. If you see a less Schwab and you see a discount tire, go to discount tire. They will get you fucking taken care of. [00:05:16] Speaker B: Oh, always just count tire. I love them. [00:05:17] Speaker A: Yeah, that, like, discountire. Phenomenal. [00:05:22] Speaker B: You know, the location that we go to. [00:05:25] Speaker A: All of them. [00:05:26] Speaker B: Okay. No. So I. [00:05:27] Speaker A: Discount tower. Keeps me in business. Go to the fucking discount tire. They have, like, time limits that they have to get your car in and out. You know, they. They, you know, crack the whip on. Those kids. [00:05:39] Speaker B: They've always been really polite in. When I went to be like, my tire got flat. Can you fix it? I'm like, oh, yeah. Yes, ma'. Am. [00:05:45] Speaker A: Yeah, like, they, you know, they're always. Every single one of them is always doing something. They're always busy, but they'll get to you as fast as they possibly can. [00:05:54] Speaker B: I mean, it sucks to not be busy. I hate it when I'm not busy at my clinic, because then we're all like, eventually you run out of stuff to clean, Then it's like, okay, well, we have nothing to do except look. Look on our phones. [00:06:03] Speaker A: So, yeah, go. Go to discount tire. Give them all your business. You know, when you go in, say, Les Schwab, and you know, that. That's it. You know, like, if I. If I take away, you know, a few sales from Les Schwab. Good. You know, you come in and take advantage of my wife. I. I paid it. I'm like, you know, whatever. I sent my wife my credit card. [00:06:25] Speaker B: I paid for the tires because I was intimidated. [00:06:29] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:06:30] Speaker B: Which is very easy to do when it comes to me, though. [00:06:33] Speaker A: Like, I. I go to a place that does not do, like, regular cars, but they. They, you know, get me taken care of anyway. And I pay, you know, it's a hundred dollars and I tip 25. I'm like, there you guys go. Boom. Because they, you know, they're busy doing giant trucks, you know, And I come in with my own tires. I'm like, cool. There, done. And since it's so close and so convenient, I just do it that way. But you know, I don't, I don't have time to do that for my wife. Cuz like we're like passing ships in the night. [00:07:11] Speaker B: Yeah, it sucks. [00:07:12] Speaker A: Yeah, whatever. Oh my God. Th, this year is flying the by. [00:07:20] Speaker B: Good lord. It's okay. I thought last year moved fast. This year I'm like blinking and was like moving forward and I'm like, I don't know if I'm happy or if I'm concerned. [00:07:31] Speaker A: That's what happens. You just get older and goes faster. [00:07:35] Speaker B: Like I, I, I'm starting to appreciate when like 7, 8, 7 or 8 year olds be like, yeah, you're only alive for a very short time. And I'm like, y' all are not wrong. Cuz I'm looking at Greenland sharks and stuff. Although there's an evolutionary reason why we die soon. I think I explained that like three episodes ago though. [00:07:54] Speaker A: Yeah, it'd be miserable to be like 200 years old. Like I, as a human. [00:08:00] Speaker B: Yes. [00:08:01] Speaker A: Like, there was a movie back in the day called Tuck Everlasting. Do you know this movie, Courtney? [00:08:10] Speaker C: Yeah, I vaguely remember it, but I have a feeling it annoyed me. [00:08:14] Speaker A: Oh yeah, it absolutely would. And I'm gonna spoil this entire movie now I remember. [00:08:21] Speaker C: Oh my God. Wasn't Kira Knightley in there or someone? [00:08:23] Speaker A: I don't remember who the actors were. I just remember the whole premise of [00:08:28] Speaker C: the film and it was so annoying. [00:08:31] Speaker A: So like this family finds like the, you know, well of eternal youth. Or like a spring of eternal youth. [00:08:41] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:08:42] Speaker A: And they all drink from it. And so they're all immortal effectively. And you know, they, they kind of like live a private life because, you know, if you find out someone's immortal, you know, they've been chased out of towns and, and like this, the main dude, like the young looking dude, falls in love with like a random chick passing by and she's about to drink the water and like, the dude's like, don't, you know. And you know, they, they fall in love and he eventually tells her, you know about this. Well, that makes you immortal. And he's like, you know, meet me here in like, you know, 50 years, because we're gonna both be immortal. And so he goes back to that spot and finds her gravestone. She didn't drink the fucking water. [00:09:32] Speaker B: Damn straight. I wouldn't drink it either. [00:09:35] Speaker A: He's like, no, [00:09:38] Speaker B: okay. So I know it's, I know a sub story of that. So like the girls, like dating the dudes who's immortal and eventually she finds out there's enough. So basically, she finds out that the person she's with, he had one chance to grant immortality with. With the long term partner. And she's like. And she's like, oh, my God, I will be that person, live with you forever. And that guy's quiet. And then suddenly he has to admit, I gave it to my cat. And I'm like, that is how that should be. If I'm immortal, I want my. [00:10:08] Speaker C: What? Yeah. Oh, my God. [00:10:10] Speaker B: No, it's so much better. If I had to grant a thing and immortality to be with me for the rest of my life, of course it would be Goose, not me. [00:10:20] Speaker A: You just make. [00:10:21] Speaker B: Oh, I'm sorry. Oh, my God, babe, I'm so sorry. Oh, my God, babe, I'm so sorry. [00:10:27] Speaker A: Yeah. My husband. [00:10:29] Speaker C: Oh, my God. [00:10:30] Speaker A: No, I. I mean, I can get dick anywhere. Like, they just walk down the street. Would you like some dick? I got. I got. [00:10:39] Speaker C: She wouldn't be with Bob or Rob. [00:10:42] Speaker B: Oh, my God, I'm so sorry. [00:10:44] Speaker C: If I had to you and Goose [00:10:46] Speaker B: being dropped into a volcano. I would have to choose Goose. [00:10:50] Speaker C: Alex. I would be choosing Alex. No. [00:10:55] Speaker B: Goose. [00:10:57] Speaker C: No. Because honestly, Goose wouldn't have much longer. [00:11:03] Speaker B: Courtney, I have never once said that to you about Daisy. How dare you? [00:11:11] Speaker C: I know. I've been thinking about that a lot lately. [00:11:14] Speaker B: It is. She's an old lady. I'm so. [00:11:15] Speaker A: Courtney's like, just drop. Kicking Daisy into, like, a volcano. [00:11:19] Speaker B: No, babe, I'm so sorry. I. I did. Okay. I love you more than I love chai tea. How about that? [00:11:28] Speaker A: It's like, she's like, grants immortality to her dad. It's like, hey, dad, you're now immortal. It's like, oh, glad. [00:11:34] Speaker C: My dad would hate that. [00:11:36] Speaker A: Like, he's like, I'm still paralyzed. It's like, yeah, you. You're immortal and paralyzed. [00:11:43] Speaker B: Yeah, that's why he's. [00:11:44] Speaker C: He's like. He's like, really? That's why he really went like gung ho on the religion, because he's paralyzed and stuff now. [00:11:52] Speaker B: It's an escapism. It's an unfortunate one, but it's what it is. [00:11:58] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:11:59] Speaker A: I mean, if I was paralyzed, I'd go crazy. [00:12:02] Speaker B: Courtney. So nice with bangs. [00:12:04] Speaker C: I know, right? [00:12:05] Speaker A: Guys, do you have like a poof in your hair? [00:12:08] Speaker B: She got a. She has bangs and she has perm. [00:12:11] Speaker A: No, no, I'm talking about the clip. [00:12:12] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [00:12:16] Speaker C: I've got a bun. [00:12:19] Speaker A: Yeah, you got like a top bun. [00:12:21] Speaker B: Yeah, it's like anime style bun too, so it like, slaps. [00:12:27] Speaker C: Cool. Yeah. [00:12:31] Speaker A: I need. I need to get a haircut real bad. [00:12:33] Speaker B: I got my hair cut so short that it shouldn't touch the pool no more. No, seriously. Because I wanted to get my hair done, and you could clearly see how my hair had been, like, bleached from the pool. And he's just like, I'm gonna trim along this line. And I'm like, that's precisely what I want you to do. [00:12:50] Speaker C: Yep. [00:12:53] Speaker A: Yeah, I think I might do, like, a mohawk or something. Like, fun. [00:12:56] Speaker B: Babe, you look so much fun with a mohawk. I could get you a skin thing, and you could do a trial and see how much you like it, but you'd have to keep up with the shaving. [00:13:05] Speaker A: Oh, no, I want to keep it. I like the second. [00:13:08] Speaker C: Why don't you just send me a picture? We could do chat GPT of you with the mohawk. [00:13:13] Speaker A: Well, my hair's wet right now, and I have headphones on, so. But no, I'm like. [00:13:22] Speaker B: And corny. I'm sorry. All my most recent photos of my husband are just pictures of his ass. [00:13:28] Speaker A: Why are you taking pictures of my ass? Don't do that. [00:13:30] Speaker B: I do that all. Babe, I have a folder of pictures of your ass. [00:13:34] Speaker A: It's, like, the worst part of me. [00:13:36] Speaker B: That's one of my favorites. [00:13:38] Speaker A: Yeah, like, someone, like, hacks your phone, like, what the fuck? [00:13:42] Speaker B: No. Yeah. No, seriously, that. That. They will be like, oh, my God. What the fuck is wrong with this person? [00:13:49] Speaker A: Yeah, it's the worst. [00:13:51] Speaker B: Married an autistic person. Every time, babe, every time. I'm not poking your butt. I am taking a picture of it. [00:13:58] Speaker A: I'm gonna fucking start wearing, like, boxers around the house. [00:14:01] Speaker B: Don't do that to me. I like your butt. [00:14:04] Speaker A: I'm gonna wear, like, okay, like, a chastity thing just for my butt. [00:14:09] Speaker B: Okay. That'd be kind of hot. [00:14:11] Speaker A: It would just be, like, a plate of armor that just, like, perfectly contours like, my. [00:14:15] Speaker B: And it has to clink in just the right. [00:14:18] Speaker A: Oh, no. It'll just be like, one, like, solid fucking piece of metal. [00:14:21] Speaker B: Will there be a cleave? [00:14:23] Speaker A: I don't know what that means. [00:14:24] Speaker B: A cleft. [00:14:27] Speaker A: You're using, like, old English. You're, like, talking, like, in King James Bible. I I can't, like, translate, like, well, there doth it have a cleave in it? Okay. [00:14:41] Speaker B: Will there be a valley? [00:14:44] Speaker A: It'll. [00:14:45] Speaker B: It'll be, like, there'll be two cherries. [00:14:48] Speaker A: I I, I'm gonna take a bulking hammer and just, you know, whack out this thing, and then like, put, like, cloth in it so when it gets, like, fucking hot, it doesn't burn my buttocks. And then, you know, just, like, you know, boom. Just, like, strap it on, like, fucking. Be like a little belt. My penis will still be out. It'll be fine. But it's like, you know, Forrest Gump had this shit in Vietnam. He'd have been fine. [00:15:14] Speaker B: Wait, he did go to Vietnam? [00:15:16] Speaker C: Yes. [00:15:17] Speaker B: I thought he was in World War II. [00:15:19] Speaker A: Vietnam. [00:15:21] Speaker B: Okay, we'll continue. I only watched it once. [00:15:26] Speaker A: I only watched it once. Yeah, I went to Vietnam. [00:15:28] Speaker B: I thought you watched it and then you watched it again with me. [00:15:33] Speaker A: World War II is, like, in 1940s. [00:15:35] Speaker B: I did not pay attention to American history. [00:15:38] Speaker A: You should. [00:15:39] Speaker B: Nah, it was depressing and embarrassing, and I was like, I don't need to continue to see why my country was so shit before. [00:15:47] Speaker A: America's awesome. Still is awesome. I like America. [00:15:50] Speaker B: No, America is a dude in the fucking push chair with a burger in his mouth and a flag on the back. [00:15:57] Speaker A: No, America's fucking dudes with beards and bald eagles and explosions and big tits. Hell, yeah. [00:16:05] Speaker B: And you have everything except the beard. [00:16:08] Speaker A: I have a beard, okay? I have a fucking beard. Don't make me just start shaving my beard, okay? [00:16:17] Speaker B: You like the. You look like the head of a chested seven chested Siamese dog. That's not right. [00:16:26] Speaker A: What the fuck are you talking. [00:16:28] Speaker B: There is a crested Chinese dog, and that's not all the right words, and that's what your beard looks like. [00:16:36] Speaker A: Chat. Can you understand what. [00:16:38] Speaker B: Okay, no, I want you to Google chested Chinese dog. [00:16:42] Speaker A: Okay? Chested Chinese dog. [00:16:47] Speaker B: I mean, crested. [00:16:49] Speaker A: Sorry. [00:16:51] Speaker B: Oh, no, no, no, no. It's a Chinese crested dog. I was right. And I doubted myself. Granted, I don't. I don't remember a lot of dog [00:17:01] Speaker A: breeds I said tested, but I know [00:17:03] Speaker B: I. I was very close. But even Google understood how close I was. [00:17:08] Speaker A: So the fucking, you know, ugly, fucking shivery dogs. [00:17:13] Speaker B: Yeah, that's what your beard looks like. [00:17:15] Speaker A: I'm gonna start shaving my beard just to annoy you. [00:17:18] Speaker B: No, that would be worse. [00:17:20] Speaker A: I'm gonna. I'm gonna shave it into, like, a little Hitler stash, too. [00:17:24] Speaker B: I mean, as long as you keep the mustache, okay, you can do whatever the you want with your facial hair. I just have judgments. But that should not inhibit you from doing whatever you want. [00:17:33] Speaker A: Oh, like. Like, I. I can make it really bad. I. I can. You know, babe, I can make it embarrassing to be seen outside. [00:17:40] Speaker B: I don't know how you can make [00:17:40] Speaker A: it worse than Oh, I could. [00:17:43] Speaker B: I'd like to see you try. [00:17:48] Speaker A: Key and peel. Weird beard. [00:17:57] Speaker B: Who the is your weird landlord? [00:18:01] Speaker A: Key and peel Terries. [00:18:08] Speaker B: Oh, God. Excuse me. I'm so sorry. [00:18:12] Speaker C: I didn't even hear you. [00:18:13] Speaker B: Can you play this? [00:18:14] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm not, you know, playing, like. Yeah, I could have a beard like that. [00:18:19] Speaker B: That would be an improvement. [00:18:20] Speaker A: That'd be an improvement. [00:18:22] Speaker B: Yes, it would, babe. Okay, babe. [00:18:25] Speaker C: No. [00:18:25] Speaker B: Your beard looks like our front yard after you clipped it. [00:18:31] Speaker A: What about that? [00:18:33] Speaker B: That's at least something to work with. It kind of looks like lace and I like lace. I like lace. [00:18:45] Speaker A: I'm gonna make it terrible. I'm gonna. [00:18:47] Speaker B: You can't make it worse. [00:18:48] Speaker A: I'm going to make it worse. [00:18:49] Speaker B: You cannot make it worse. [00:18:51] Speaker A: Trust me. I'm a professional. I can make shit bad, okay? I can take a bad situation and make it worse. [00:18:58] Speaker B: You can do this, but I don't know if you can do that with your beard. [00:19:01] Speaker A: I can. [00:19:08] Speaker B: You love me. [00:19:08] Speaker A: I don't. Don't make me start going on, like, you know, week long hunting trips. I have a hunting license. I can just go do that. [00:19:20] Speaker B: If you bring home meat, I will cook it in a crock pot and make stews. [00:19:25] Speaker A: I'll go turkey hunting. [00:19:26] Speaker B: I'm not gonna cook. You can't stew. I'm sure you can, but you can't stew. Do turkey. [00:19:30] Speaker A: Yes you can. [00:19:31] Speaker B: Ew. I don't like. Turkey's nasty. [00:19:33] Speaker A: What are you talking about? Turkey's the best. [00:19:35] Speaker B: No, turkey tastes. [00:19:37] Speaker A: Turkey stew. Oh, look at that. The party savory stew uses leftover turkey and it's packed with root vegetables and a rich, creamy herb broth. Ready under one hour. Perfect for comfort food and a chilly evening. [00:19:53] Speaker B: I have yet to taste turkey that tasted good in a meal. But if you send me that recipe and you bring me raw turkey, I will do my best. I'll give it a shot, but I'm not going to put rosemary in it because that's nasty. [00:20:06] Speaker A: 1 tsp of poultry seasoning, that's fine. [00:20:10] Speaker B: But I'm not going to put rosemary [00:20:11] Speaker A: or 5 cups of turkey or chicken broth. [00:20:15] Speaker B: Got that? [00:20:17] Speaker A: Yeah. Look at all the fun you can make with turkeys. I want, like, turkey leg drumsticks. [00:20:24] Speaker B: My mother overloaded. Everything was rosemary and thyme, and now I can't stand even the hint of it. [00:20:31] Speaker A: Turkeys are. Turkeys are so dumb. Like, turkeys and deer are, like, probably the easiest animals to hunt. [00:20:38] Speaker B: Oh, my God. There was a turkey that was wandering around for, like, two days because it got separate Separated from his flock in the middle of where all the merging is. And I felt so bad. I was just like, you got separated from your flock and there's no way you're gonna find him again. They get ran over eventually. [00:20:56] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:20:56] Speaker B: And that's. That is calling. But it's calling too much. [00:21:01] Speaker A: No, it's not. [00:21:02] Speaker B: No, it's too much. [00:21:03] Speaker A: Kill them. Turkeys. Them. Well, like most people have never seen, like a wild turkey. And it's like they're everywhere. [00:21:11] Speaker C: Really. [00:21:12] Speaker A: They're everywhere. [00:21:14] Speaker B: Hint of wildlife. It's so weird. [00:21:18] Speaker A: And they're like. They make the most obnoxious. Like you think, like the little gobble gobble. Like the. You know, you think that's endearing until you fucking hear it non goddamn stop. And it's like, shut the fuck up. I think that's like why we found out the turkey was edible. We just started shooting them. [00:21:36] Speaker B: Oh, my God. One time at our old house, a turkey, like my old house, a turkey jumped up on the roof. And then we watched a fucking bald eagle appeared out of nowhere, fucking slammed down, grabbed the fucker, ran off with. Flew off with it. And I'm like, that is what apex predator is. And I was. [00:21:55] Speaker A: That's America right there. [00:21:56] Speaker B: No, that was. That was dinosaur versus dinosaur. [00:22:00] Speaker A: Both Eagles are great. [00:22:02] Speaker B: I respect predators way more than I respect herbivores. Herbivores are food. They're not like, they're dumb in their food. They need to be treated with respect, and they should have healthy lives and happy lives before I eat them. But they are still designed to be eaten. They're beneath me. [00:22:18] Speaker A: I'm glad that that womanizer Benjamin Franklin didn't get his wish and make the turkey the United States official bird. [00:22:24] Speaker B: Thank God for that. Like, serious. [00:22:27] Speaker C: What's the official bird? [00:22:29] Speaker A: The bald eagle. [00:22:30] Speaker B: Bald eagle. [00:22:31] Speaker C: Oh, cool. [00:22:32] Speaker B: Courtney, what did you think our national bird was? [00:22:35] Speaker C: I quite honestly had no clue. [00:22:39] Speaker A: Every state has a bird, too. Yours is a quail. [00:22:42] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:22:43] Speaker C: Yours is a quail. [00:22:44] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. [00:22:44] Speaker B: So our national bird is a quail. Our national flower is a golden poppy. [00:22:49] Speaker A: So you're. So you have a state flower, which is the poppy. [00:22:53] Speaker B: California so much. [00:22:54] Speaker A: Your state bird is a quail, so you cannot go kill quail. [00:22:57] Speaker B: About Colorado, I refuse to be a transplant. I am an organ that is rejecting its body. [00:23:04] Speaker A: Well, tough. You live here. [00:23:05] Speaker B: I know, but I'm still rejecting it. [00:23:09] Speaker A: It's fine. You know, Colorado is pretty great. [00:23:11] Speaker B: Someone's being felt very strong anti fucking attacking your own new organ. What the is it called the cells that attack your new Organs is your autoimmune system. Whatever. It brings down your immune system so it stops attacking your new. The new organ transplant. [00:23:29] Speaker A: I mean, our state bird over here is a lark and our flower is a columbine. [00:23:33] Speaker B: I knew it was the columbine because my mom asked for seeds once. So I went to like an actual like, what's it called when you go to like a planter shop, a nursery. And so I bought her like a ton of seeds and like that day. So like, okay. Oh my God, this is hilarious. So that day, like, I did not feel like washing my hair and I knew my hair was gross, so I put on like a nice dress, I put on a hat, and I put on a scarf. And so I show up and I'm walking around like checking stuff. I'm like asking questions. And so I go to check out and the dude there, he's like, it's been so long since we saw a woman of your stature. I'm so honored that you would shop with us. And I was like, oh my God. What? I just didn't want to wash my hair. Like that dude thought I was upper class. And I was like, what? [00:24:17] Speaker A: No, he's like, you usually send the help. [00:24:22] Speaker B: Yeah, no, I, I felt, I was just like, oh my God. Like that is such like, that's the age that he grew up in. That age where like nobility came by. [00:24:32] Speaker A: He's just being nice. [00:24:33] Speaker B: No, no, I could tell it was different. [00:24:36] Speaker A: He was just being nice. That's what we do when we work retail, we with the customers. Like if I saw like an 80 year old lady coming in to buy like a bottle of vodka, be like, hey, young lady, can I see your id? I know she's old enough to buy the vodka, but I'll ask for the ID anyway. And she's like. And gives me her ID like a giddy child, you know, Every single time. I don't do that to old men because they'll bit fucking like look at me like, I'm a what the fuck, dude? [00:25:07] Speaker B: I'm like a hundred old men exist for no evolutionary reason. [00:25:12] Speaker A: We old men exist to fucking just be like violent assholes. Like, that's what the world sometimes needs is a violent fucking asshole. [00:25:21] Speaker B: I'm not going to continue the conversation. [00:25:23] Speaker A: It's fine. I'm a violent asshole. I get it. It's okay. [00:25:28] Speaker B: It's okay. I chose that, you know, but like, thank you, Courtney. [00:25:37] Speaker A: I'm trying to be less of a violent. It's not working. [00:25:42] Speaker B: You're doing your best, but I Am trying, like Winnie the Pooh best. [00:25:47] Speaker A: Like, like, I, I like. [00:25:50] Speaker C: Yeah, he has a long way to go. [00:25:52] Speaker A: I like guns and gay people. How about that? But, you know, it's like, I, I don't like the chronically homeless taking a on the sidewalk, people. [00:26:05] Speaker B: I feel like you're as Republican as you're going to go, but please move on to the next subject. [00:26:09] Speaker A: All right, well, we got some stories and all kinds of crazy New York City zoron. Mom, Donnie, you know, the, you know, guy that I don't like, came up with a good idea and I, I kind of vibe with it. New York City Parks and Parks Department to offer free child care for 500 kids across the city. There's millions of kids across the city, but only 500 of them for a parents night out program. [00:26:43] Speaker B: I mean, it's a start and I appreciate that. [00:26:46] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean, it's like, that's, that's pretty cool because there's like, I'm sure a bunch of fudgeing parents that could really fudgeing use a night out and go support capitalism. [00:26:57] Speaker B: Yes. No, seriously. [00:27:01] Speaker A: But free childcare for 500 families in New York, which is, you know, awesome. The activities for kids include games, sports, arts and crafts led by trained staff at five recreation centers. So they're not just going to be at like random people's houses. They're gonna be like YMCAs and. [00:27:19] Speaker B: Okay, well, that's still good. [00:27:20] Speaker A: Yeah, no, it's awesome. Parents must Register online by July 20th. Yeah. Two days to participate with spots granted on a first come, first serve basis. There's gonna be so many angry parents that did not get a spot. [00:27:34] Speaker C: No. [00:27:35] Speaker B: This is, what's it called, A crowd breaker or something? [00:27:37] Speaker A: Yeah, something like that. But yeah. On Monday, July 13, Zoran, Mayor Zorhan Mandani, Parks Commissioner Tricia. That last name. Announced the first ever Parents Night out program, which gives 500 parents and caregivers with children between the ages of 6 and 13 a free evening to themselves. So not, you know, babies, but, you know, like, kind of manageable. Ish. Children. So. [00:28:10] Speaker C: Sure. [00:28:11] Speaker A: Yeah, I, I think it's kind of fun. [00:28:13] Speaker C: Yeah. I don't think they've let the children know. [00:28:17] Speaker A: Oh, the, the kids will know. Yeah. But it's gonna be funny because there's gonna be, you know, some of those 13 year olds that are just gonna be like little talkers, you know, back, man, you ain't. You ain't. My parents go yourselves and it's like, oh, hell yeah. But, you know, if it, you know, works out well. It works out well and that's awesome, you know. [00:28:43] Speaker C: Yep. [00:28:44] Speaker A: That's. That's a nice, fun, you know, time. So next news story. Spotify deletes 75 million AI generated tracks. And it's not done yet. [00:28:57] Speaker B: Thank God for that. [00:28:59] Speaker A: I didn't know they had AI tracks. Yeah, I mean, I stick with my own, you know, like, playlists. Spotify purge the bot driven tracks over 12 months to protect royalty pools. But AI music with genuine creative intent remains allowed. Okay, so some AI is still getting through. [00:29:22] Speaker B: Yeah, if it's done properly and it's done like. [00:29:27] Speaker A: Yeah, if you're. [00:29:28] Speaker B: There's a level of AI you have to accept and my level is not your level. But eventually some of the songs I [00:29:34] Speaker C: listened to I didn't know were AI. So some of them weren't disclosed until recently. [00:29:41] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:29:42] Speaker C: That they were AI. [00:29:43] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:29:45] Speaker C: Which sucks. [00:29:46] Speaker B: No, it's super shitty. [00:29:50] Speaker A: Yeah. The platform still welcomes AI generated compositions provided the creators hold commercial rights, avoid unauthorized voice cloning, and show creative, genuine creative intent, which is very important. So, yeah, I guess, like just a bunch of people put. It can put out slop and, you know, overloaded. Spotted Spotify. [00:30:15] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm not surprised. [00:30:20] Speaker A: So, yeah, that, that's neat and good. Good on them. I feel bad for the people that are, you know, working hard to create their own and are getting crushed by AI, but you know, that, that's how it goes. [00:30:37] Speaker C: Plus people sometimes don't like AI, so they'll definitely have an audience. Yeah, that won't like them. [00:30:44] Speaker A: I mean, I, I like, you know, people that create their own, so that's awesome. Onto the next story. Keep it going. Brain implant helps paralyze man to feed himself and drink from cup. [00:31:02] Speaker B: That is so exciting. Oh my God, I am so excited for this individual. [00:31:08] Speaker A: Keith Thomas can move arms and hands and feel sensation of touch after double neural bypass and and months of training. [00:31:17] Speaker B: Yes. Science and medicine, when they come together is brilliant. [00:31:24] Speaker C: Yay. [00:31:25] Speaker A: A man who is paralyzed from the chest down in a swimming accident six years ago has been able to feed himself and drink from a cup thanks to a brain implant that is bypasses his spinal cord injury. Okay, so they just kind of went around. [00:31:40] Speaker B: Imagine the relief it must feel. [00:31:45] Speaker A: Keith Thomas of Manisa, New York could not lift his arms off his wheelchair when he agreed to the trial technology in 2021. Jesus. That. It's been a while. But after surgery to implant electrodes in his brain and after many months of training, he was able to move the limbs again. [00:32:05] Speaker B: That's amazing. [00:32:06] Speaker A: Researchers fitted Thomas with a brain computer interface that not only helped him move his ar. His arms and hands, but also sent signals back to his brain to recreate the sensation of touch. He has since been able to feel his sister's hands and the fur from his pet dog. [00:32:26] Speaker B: Oh, my God. I can't imagine being able to not feel my cat's fluff. [00:32:32] Speaker A: Remarkably, the technology that appears to have partly rewired Thomas's nervous system, helping to restore some hand functions and sensations that remain even when the system is switched off. [00:32:47] Speaker B: The brain is a computer, and it will work with you. [00:32:50] Speaker C: It will. My dad, like, he said that, like, he actually used to be like that. He couldn't move his arms at all. He was paralyzed from basically the neck down. And. And like he said, one day he ran a fever and he could move one finger, and it was, like, progressive, like, throughout, like, the first, probably 10 years. [00:33:16] Speaker B: The brain is very plastic and will respond to so many different types of stimulation. [00:33:22] Speaker C: Yeah, now he can feel. He can feel heat and stuff in certain areas. And, like, he. He can actually feel sensation now on his feet, though, it really sucks because now he has diabetic neuropathy. So now he can feel it and it sucks for him. So I feel really bad. [00:33:42] Speaker A: It's like kill bill, like, wiggle your big toe. [00:33:46] Speaker B: No diabetic neuropathy in cats. Like, basically it makes it so they can't walk. So basically it makes them drop their hocks. So they walk on, like, a really long, flat foot, like their back, like, their toes to their back knee, as opposed to just walking on their toes. And it's like, oh, it's kind of cute to watch you walk now, but, aw, you need insulin. And it. Quite honestly, a lot of times it's completely reversible. [00:34:13] Speaker C: Really? [00:34:13] Speaker B: Yeah. No, Once you get them okay, cats will. Will spontaneously. Once they're well managed, they will spontaneously, like, clear their diabetes and go back to being normal. [00:34:26] Speaker C: You know, you humans can do it [00:34:28] Speaker B: too, which is cool. So humans, there are three different types of diabetes, but cats have a combination of all three. [00:34:38] Speaker C: Oh, really? [00:34:39] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:34:42] Speaker C: My cat right now is doing. Getting a nice pack on her. [00:34:45] Speaker B: Oh, it's so good. It's so hot. [00:34:48] Speaker C: And I put some pain relief on my hands, so hopefully it starts working. [00:34:56] Speaker A: Oh, wow. So, like, this guy can, like, you know, independently scratch his nose and wipe his face and all kinds of. He wasn't able to, like, move his hands at all. [00:35:04] Speaker B: Oh, my God, that is so freeing. And so, like, boot, like, so good for your mental health. Like, I Can't imagine being. Losing the loss of a limb. Like, my limbs hurt all the time, but I'd rather them hurt all the time than completely loose sensation. [00:35:22] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:35:25] Speaker B: Like, that must be so freeing. [00:35:32] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:35:32] Speaker A: Oh, this one's New York Times. And they pay wallet. [00:35:37] Speaker B: You know, it's the New York Times. Of course they're gonna pay wallet. [00:35:41] Speaker C: There's a way you can get around that. But I forgot how to do it. [00:35:44] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm not, I'm not gonna go into the code and take it down. You know, I'm sure they, they've thought about that. I'm like, not gonna give them a dollar a week. But yeah, it's a. Pretty much the whole story was like a bunch of old ladies are cleaning up Cape Cod and they're like going through and diving for garbage and shit. And it's like, hell yeah. And they've removed 6,000 pounds of trash. [00:36:07] Speaker B: Yes. [00:36:09] Speaker A: Oh, and just like a bunch of old ladies. That's it. Right? Like. And they're just like doing it for fun. [00:36:16] Speaker C: So. [00:36:18] Speaker A: And that now I have some advice. And am I the. And we'll go ahead and end this episode. So on to advice by dad. Wendy. My ex wife asked me to buy school supplies for all her kids and I said no, but should I? [00:36:40] Speaker B: So all are her kids, not just his? [00:36:42] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay, let me read the story. My ex wife and I have two kids together. We divorced when they were 2 and 11 months old. CO parenting is 50 50. I pay a small amount of child support because I make a little bit more than she does. She married a man with five children already. [00:37:04] Speaker B: Oh my God. [00:37:05] Speaker A: And had two more children with him. [00:37:07] Speaker B: That is a lot of kids. [00:37:10] Speaker A: She may or may not be expecting again, but who really knows? I don't always trust what comes out of her mouth because she's been crazy since meeting her husband. Before they had any children together, they could not afford all seven kids between them. She even asked me if I would be willing to pay more child support. [00:37:30] Speaker B: Oh, hell no. [00:37:31] Speaker A: So they can provide better for the other kids. [00:37:34] Speaker B: Oh, hell no. [00:37:35] Speaker A: I said no. And I spoke to my attorney and I offered to take the kids off her hand if she wanted more freedom. But she turned me down flat and turned me down. Anytime I reply to her request for money with I'll happily take the kids. She tried to sue me for extra child support. [00:37:54] Speaker B: What the fuck? [00:37:56] Speaker A: But the other kids are not calculated in the child support. [00:37:59] Speaker B: They're not. [00:37:59] Speaker A: Neither is her husband. So I can't go to their house hold. And then I Can't go to their household income increase and let me off the hook. No, it's about our two kids that only both of us. My kids are taken care of and that's all I care about. [00:38:18] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:38:19] Speaker A: My kids are good kids who are the happiest with me, but still too young to say. Have a say in that. They don't like their mom's house because it's so crowded and chaotic and they don't have their own space. Their relationship with their step and half siblings is indifferent. [00:38:36] Speaker B: Yeah, of course. [00:38:37] Speaker A: Don't interact with them. And it sounds like it's mutual on their part of their steps. My ex is. Will tell me that giving more would change that and would make everyone happier. But it feels like her way of trying to make me pay for her choices and marry a guy with five of his own and having two more with him. [00:39:01] Speaker B: Intense. [00:39:02] Speaker A: When they can't afford seven, let alone nine. Jesus Christ. Probably up to 10 at this point. [00:39:07] Speaker B: And I love some 10. [00:39:09] Speaker A: Now we're on school supplies. I buy school supplies for my kids. They have their names on everything every year. And I make sure I keep them stocked with what they need. My ex and her husband relied on the class supplies last year and this year. Jesus. But they have to do the same again with the class supplies. And they were low and a lot of the stuff broke easily, according to her. So she wants me to buy for eight of the nine children. It's eight because the youngest has not started school yet. [00:39:43] Speaker B: Oh, my God. [00:39:45] Speaker A: I told her no and she needs to reach out for a charity for help instead of me. I told her the offer is still out there for me to take the kids, but the answer is still no. She won't leave me alone and has tried to, you know, guilt trip and pressure tactic in the book. I care about none of it, but it leaves me wondering what advice would you. Okay. [00:40:10] Speaker C: Holy. [00:40:11] Speaker B: I'm so sorry, Op. [00:40:12] Speaker A: I. I thought it would be like another like two kids, you know, like, like I. I wasn't expecting a whole. Another slew of. [00:40:21] Speaker B: This is a total of nine. Right. If not penting ten. [00:40:26] Speaker A: Well, you know, nine. [00:40:27] Speaker B: They had two kids. [00:40:28] Speaker A: Nine is including his kids. [00:40:30] Speaker B: Okay. That's what I thought. [00:40:31] Speaker A: So there's seven, you know, that have nothing to do with him. You know, probably eight, you know, on the way. [00:40:39] Speaker B: Okay. I'm assuming these other five have. Also have mothers. [00:40:46] Speaker A: Yeah, probably. [00:40:47] Speaker B: Okay. [00:40:48] Speaker A: But you know this. [00:40:49] Speaker B: So they're doing their best as well. So I. Op's wife, ex wife. Has a lot of g. No Here. [00:41:00] Speaker A: Here's what it is. This dude likes sticking his dick in crazy. [00:41:03] Speaker B: And they're trying to get money from the government. [00:41:07] Speaker A: I mean, it ain't gonna work. [00:41:10] Speaker B: No, it's not. [00:41:13] Speaker A: You know, you don't make that kind of money. Keep meticulous records of all these conversations. [00:41:20] Speaker B: Yes. I mean, sorry, OP, that sucks, but you need to. You need to hold your boundaries and. Yeah, I feel like OP should have more time with the kids than the ex wife does. [00:41:37] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, 50. [00:41:38] Speaker B: 50 kind of rubs me a little raw. [00:41:42] Speaker A: I mean, that's just how the courts do it. [00:41:44] Speaker B: I know. [00:41:46] Speaker A: Yeah. Don't. Don't give in. Don't give her other kid. Like, it depends on what they need. You know, you can go to, like, you know, goodwill and get them some basic, you know, get, like a 20 pack of pencils and, like, some notebooks and, like, there you guys go. You know, some, like, you know, dollar binders or whatever, but, you know, like, new shoes, new clothes. No, that. That's on dad. And, you know, the baby mamas, you know, sorry, like, if it. If it's, you know, basic. Whatever. But, yeah, you know, that. That. That. That's a choice you made to have seven kids. [00:42:33] Speaker B: Yeah. And that has nothing to do with Opie. [00:42:37] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:42:41] Speaker B: Opie's ex wife has a lot like, good God. [00:42:48] Speaker A: I only. You know, someone says, I only communicate through a parenting app. Document all those requests to buy stuff for other kids the next time she takes back to court for more child support. [00:43:00] Speaker B: Yep. [00:43:04] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:43:05] Speaker A: Yeah. So, yeah, Op, you know, if it was like, one or two other kids, I'd say, yeah, go ahead and, you know, throw even that. [00:43:13] Speaker B: Not throw. [00:43:15] Speaker A: Yeah, no, but, you know, because it is, you know, your kids, like, your brothers, your. Your kids, siblings, and, you know, don't punish the kids. But, you know, it's like, at this point, it's like, yeah, you kind of understand, and it. You, like, you op. You have nothing to do with these other, you know, seven kids. [00:43:42] Speaker C: They. [00:43:42] Speaker A: They don't come and stay with you. You don't, you know, give them anything that. That's not your job. So, yeah, you know, tell her to off. You know, be like, hey, I'll take the kids 100, and you don't owe me any child support. And you can, you know, come see him for, like, weekend visits or whatnot. You know, like some stuff like that. You know, where it's like, the kids come with me full time, and then you have extra room and a little bit less on your plate, and boom. I. I think that'd be fun. But good luck to you. Op the court system is not in your side. [00:44:32] Speaker B: Oh, courts are never on your side. [00:44:34] Speaker A: Yeah, as a man, it's fine. But now, am I the by. Not sure here. And I. I didn't read any of these up front. Am I the asshole for telling my cousin that's why you're single? [00:44:50] Speaker B: Absolutely not. [00:44:51] Speaker A: I love it. Yesterday, I went to the beach with my aunt and one of my cousins. I'm the youngest of the group at 37. Jesus Christ, a bunch of old people. [00:45:01] Speaker B: No, they're not. You're going to be 37 in, what, three years? [00:45:05] Speaker A: Two. Today, my birthday. We were celebrating early by going out to the beach. [00:45:10] Speaker B: Wait, am I 34? [00:45:14] Speaker A: Yes, I'm 35. [00:45:18] Speaker B: I'm that old. That's crazy. Oh, my God, I'm so proud of myself. Continue. [00:45:24] Speaker A: Today is my birthday, and we were celebrating early by going out to the beach. Drinking was involved, which is likely why it blew up like it did always. We had been at the beach for a few hours, and at this point, we're debating extending our parking for a bit more time. My cousin M starts loudly trying to get me to turn around and look at a woman walking by. He was saying some pretty vulgar stuff [00:45:48] Speaker B: like, wait, what gender is? [00:45:49] Speaker A: Op, I think I'm a dude. [00:45:53] Speaker B: Okay, continue. Actually, gender doesn't matter. Continue. [00:45:56] Speaker A: But the cousin is a dude. My cousin start loudly trying to get me to turn around and look at one of the women walking by. [00:46:04] Speaker B: You. [00:46:05] Speaker A: He was saying some pretty vulgar stuff like, you know, she likes it dirty and in the butt. [00:46:10] Speaker B: Ew. [00:46:11] Speaker A: And some other random, gross comments. He was saying it loudly enough that she could hear when she passed and turned around and looked at us, I. I looked at him and said, this is why you're single. [00:46:23] Speaker B: That is why he's single. That's disgusting. [00:46:27] Speaker A: He kind of laughed and, you know, said something in an attempt to get me to clap back, but then said, you know, that's a hurtful thing to say, right? And I told him I wasn't really concerned with his hurt feelings after all the gross shit. He said, well, basically. Basically cat calling a woman walking by. [00:46:48] Speaker B: He should feel ashamed. [00:46:49] Speaker A: This resulted in both of us shouting at each other and just packing up to leave. After dropping him off at his apartment, his aunt. My aunt, his mother said I didn't need to be mean to him. [00:47:01] Speaker B: Oh, my God. Golden child. [00:47:04] Speaker A: But, like, if you're, you know, if you're gonna stand around shouting vulgar, don't be, you know, surprised. Pikachu Face when someone calls you out for it. [00:47:13] Speaker C: Precisely. [00:47:14] Speaker A: Was I really wrong? Am I the asshole because I said something? I didn't care about his feelings? [00:47:19] Speaker B: What woman is going to find that attractive? [00:47:22] Speaker A: You know, not sure if this context is needed, but I'm 37 female. [00:47:27] Speaker B: Oh, that's even worse. [00:47:29] Speaker A: I mostly called him out because I was just grossed out. But why? By what he was saying. Oh, my God. Yeah, this guy's a fucking dickhead. [00:47:38] Speaker B: Okay? This went from men defending women to men ignoring women. [00:47:42] Speaker A: Holy shit. [00:47:44] Speaker B: What a piece of. He's got. He has baby mamas that. He has at least five baby mamas and he just picked up a mama that already had two and now they have a third on the way. [00:47:58] Speaker A: Here's the thing. You know, you're the youngest at 37. You know, if someone youngest of single op, the, you know, 37 year old female was the youngest person there. You know, if you know, someone was like 40, you know, you. [00:48:17] Speaker B: This is a 40 year old probably saying that shit out loud in public. [00:48:23] Speaker A: And. And a single dude too. [00:48:26] Speaker B: Like, obviously that's why this dude is single. Op is right. Op's cousin should feel ashamed of his own actions. [00:48:34] Speaker A: Holy. [00:48:35] Speaker B: But he's protected by his boy mama. [00:48:37] Speaker A: Like. Like, the longer and longer I think of it, like, the worse and worse it gets. [00:48:41] Speaker B: Yeah. No, this Dude's in his 40s. It's like, thank God he is single. Thank God some person isn't putting up with this bullshit and tuning out and being like, oh, no, he loves me. And it's like, girl, let's not love. [00:48:57] Speaker A: Let's see what the fucking comments say. [00:48:59] Speaker B: Yes. Yeah. [00:49:00] Speaker A: His mom defending him is probably explains why he never learned better. [00:49:04] Speaker B: Yes. [00:49:05] Speaker A: Mama's boy. Mama's boy, everything. The fact that he did that in front of everyone, including his mom, tells me everything I need to know. [00:49:16] Speaker B: Yeah, I know. I watched enough of tlc. I love a Mama's bo. That show's amazing, though. [00:49:21] Speaker A: Yeah. Everyone's saying, not the Absolutely, Opie. You're not the. [00:49:25] Speaker B: No, Op's a star. Opie stood up to the golden boy like, props to op. Round of applause. [00:49:35] Speaker A: Sometimes what you need is a little, you know, slap down and, you know, getting put in your place. [00:49:40] Speaker B: Yep. [00:49:41] Speaker A: Okay, now on to the last. Am I the asshole? Am I the asshole for punching my boyfriend in his balls? For tickling me by Mercury ghost? 910. [00:49:53] Speaker B: Okay, I'm sorry, Marty going to say no, but continue. [00:49:57] Speaker A: I mean, it says punching my boyfriend in his jewels, but it's balls. [00:50:00] Speaker B: That's even Better so, not the I. [00:50:04] Speaker A: A couple of days ago, I, 20, female, was in a bad mood. Yeah, not the asshole you might be. She might be an asshole. I was laying on my boyfriend, 21, male's bed when he threw himself on top of me and started pinning me down. He said he wasn't meaning to tickle me, but I was indeed being tickled, regardless of his hands being on my ribs or not. Anyway, during this time, probably three to five minutes, I was constantly saying, stop and get off. I was trying everything I I could do to get him off, like. Like using my arms and legs. But he simply wasn't budging. At this point, I was extremely overwhelmed, couldn't breathe, and now internally freaking out because he wasn't stopping. I finally saw an opening, so I lightly tapped him on the ball. [00:50:58] Speaker C: Yes. [00:50:59] Speaker A: And this got him to stop and say, that's not cool. Don't do that. [00:51:05] Speaker B: Oh, I'm so sorry. It's okay to cross Op's boundaries, but she can't cross his. [00:51:11] Speaker A: To which I responded, I will do it again. Stop. Then he proceeds to pin me down and tickle me. I saw another opportunity, and this time hitting him harder. [00:51:22] Speaker B: He didn't take the warning. [00:51:24] Speaker A: Thankfully, this did get him to stop, but then he got super upset with me for doing that. Now he's very set that I was in the wrong, and I'm set that what I did was justified. [00:51:38] Speaker B: It was. You know, my dad would do this to me all the time. He would start tickling to me, and I would start crying and begging him to stop. Because I hated being tickled because it hurt my brain. And he would do it anyway until, literally, I just learned to be completely still until he stopped. This is why I'm not ticklish, is because he would never stop. And I hated it. I hated being tickled. It hurt my brain so much. So fuck Opie's boyfriend. Well, I'm sad she didn't kick him harder in the ball. [00:52:08] Speaker A: Let's finish. When we were talking about this later, he said he started doing this because he wanted to see me smile and feel better. Personally, I don't see why that would be a solution to make someone feel better, considering tickling is essentially a form of torture. [00:52:26] Speaker B: Yes, it is. [00:52:27] Speaker A: I express remorse because I never wanted to hurt him. Even though I intentionally ball tapped him. I just wanted him to stop. [00:52:34] Speaker B: Yes. [00:52:35] Speaker A: He said he thought that everything was okay because I was laughing. [00:52:39] Speaker B: No, it's not. [00:52:39] Speaker A: But I was uncomfortable. Slash nervous laugh that I always do when being tickled. He said it Isn't ever cool. Especially when I never gave him any signs that I wasn't having a good time. [00:52:51] Speaker B: Yes. [00:52:52] Speaker A: I told him to get off of me. Raise my voice. I told him I was serious, and I feel like I shouldn't have to raise my voice to let him know I'm serious. [00:53:00] Speaker B: No. [00:53:01] Speaker A: Also, I did say get off. [00:53:03] Speaker B: Yes. [00:53:04] Speaker A: Also confused, because the first ball tap. Not a warning. And to clarify, I absolutely agree hitting someone in the balls isn't cool in the slightest, but it's not like I did it as, you know, a way to play around. I was freaking out, and he wasn't listening. [00:53:19] Speaker C: Yes. [00:53:20] Speaker B: When people only respond to pain, that is not a good person. I'm so sorry. At peace with that person. That's awful. I hate being tickled. And he completely disrespected her boundaries. [00:53:38] Speaker A: Love being tickled. [00:53:39] Speaker B: No, do not. You know how much I hate being tickled. No. You know, when I go perfectly still, everything's wrong. [00:53:51] Speaker A: It depends on where I'm tickling you. [00:53:52] Speaker B: Okay. I can't deny that. But in general, I hate being tickled. [00:53:55] Speaker A: You don't like being tickled on your feet. That's it. [00:53:58] Speaker B: I don't like being tickled anywhere. [00:54:01] Speaker A: No. There's a spot that you're ticklish that you like. [00:54:06] Speaker B: That's different. [00:54:06] Speaker C: Oh, God. [00:54:08] Speaker B: That's different. [00:54:10] Speaker A: Well, no, not. Not like that. It's behind her knee. [00:54:15] Speaker C: Oh, [00:54:19] Speaker A: Yeah. Poor Courtney's like. Oh, my gosh. You know, like. Like right behind the knee. She's, like, very ticklish. [00:54:27] Speaker B: That's the one spot my dad never tickled me, so I don't have any resistance to it. [00:54:32] Speaker C: Yeah, that was probably too much for him. [00:54:36] Speaker B: Oh, no. I also learned that kicking was a good way to make it stop. I know one time I kicked Alex in the face, or I kicked Max in the face so hard that, like, it fucked up his eyes, so he had to go to the doctor. And I was in a lot of trouble for a long time for that. [00:54:51] Speaker C: Why? [00:54:52] Speaker B: Because I hurt Max. [00:54:54] Speaker C: Oh, my God. So stupid. [00:54:56] Speaker B: Max was the firstborn son. I wasn't allowed to hurt him. [00:54:59] Speaker A: You did Max damage. [00:55:02] Speaker B: I wish I had made that fucker blind. I wish to God I'd made him blind. Too bad I didn't. [00:55:12] Speaker A: All right, well, that. That's gonna be it for this week. Yeah, We. We got. Oh, and there. There's a college that's going to give college credits to disabled people for, you know, being in the Special Olympics in Florida. [00:55:33] Speaker B: So just like any person who goes into the Olympics, he gets Special treatment, no college credit. What's the difference? You can go to college if you're good at sports, right? [00:55:44] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:55:45] Speaker B: Which is weird. Okay, you know what? No, it's not weird, and I respect it. It's just kind of annoying when the rest of the time book smarts are looked down upon. [00:55:55] Speaker A: Well, I mean, it depends on the book smarts. [00:55:57] Speaker B: Well, no, book smarts don't make money on social media. [00:56:02] Speaker A: Yeah, college is what, you know, really brings in a lot of money to college. [00:56:05] Speaker B: I love your sports. [00:56:07] Speaker A: Brings in a lot of money to college. [00:56:08] Speaker B: I wouldn't go back to college, though. I hated tests. The rest of it was fun. [00:56:14] Speaker A: I mean, college isn't, you know, isn't the thing for me. [00:56:18] Speaker B: It's not. Which is why I went to five, which is why I went to college for five years and you didn't. You found a field that was much better towards you. [00:56:26] Speaker A: I. I found a field that's like, hey, you got 10 fingers that bend. And are you willing to put up with a bunch of horseshit? And it's like, yeah, it's like, all right, you're in. So here I am, truck driver. But we'll see you all next week. Until then, bye. [00:56:44] Speaker C: Bye.
